Dear Friends, thank you for visiting my Bio-page to learn a little more about me. After all, the Word of God encourages us: “And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord…” (I Thessalonians 5:12 KJV). Hopefully after reading a little about me, this will draw us a little closer in fellowship. Here goes…:

Formal Background

I have the privilege of serving as the Pastor of Genesis 12 Christian Fellowship Church, a Christian non-denominational ministry which is located in Northern Virginia;

Since arriving to serve Genesis 12 in 2012, the Lord has blessed the church to experience spiritual, numerical, financial, and evangelistic growth. By God’s grace, and to His glory, some of this included launching a mission in 2013 to Sierra Leone, which the Lord has now graced to expand to seven thriving churches covering multiple villages;

I was born and raised in the Washington DC metropolitan area;

I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior, and was baptized as a youth in March of 1987;

As a licensed and ordained minister, I have been preaching and serving as a staff minister since March of 1997. God’s grace has carried me in the preaching and evangelism/witnessing ministry to the Caribbean, Asia, and Africa. In addition to pastoring, I served for many years as a Chaplain for notable non-profit and corporate organizations;

Scholastics: I have studied at Washington Bible College, earning a B.A. in Religious Studies; I also studied at Chesapeake Bible Seminary, earning a Master of Theological Studies; I have served as a visiting instructor at Washington Bible College, where I have taught classes in the Youth Ministry program;

I enjoy marriage and friendship to my help-meet in life and ministry, Lady Sheryl Norris. She is by vocation an attorney (and in my humble opinion has awesome culinary skills!). Together we are raising five wonderful children and reside in Northern Virginia.

Music of all genres (From Classical, to 70’s/80’s, 90’s Hip-hop, to R&B, to Rock, to Country, to Go-go…of course nothing raunchy though.. and of course Gospel/Worship/Contemporary Christian music)

Golfing, Tubing (Snow) (I let go of the skiing thing as I’ve gotten older), Archery

Learning (a variety of disciplines) (Like a sponge, I try to soak knowledge up!)
