Our First Lady

Lady Sheryl A. Norris

Dear Friends, thank you for visiting my Bio-page to learn a little more about me. Most notably, I love the Lord and want to see His will accomplished in the earth through His people.

Formal Background

I have the privilege of serving as the First Lady and a Minister of Genesis 12 Christian Fellowship Church, a Christian non-denominational ministry which is located in Northern Virginia;

Born and raised in the Washington DC metropolitan area,  I trusted Jesus Christ as my Savior at age 7, and was baptized in 1989;

I have been passionate about ministry since 1999 serving in various capacities in the local body of Christ and auxiliary ministries. I was licensed as a minister in September 2012 and I have been preaching and serving cheerfully ever since. God’s grace has not only blessed me to minister in a congregational setting, but also throughout the streets and in the Healing Rooms of Washington, D.C. While at Genesis 12, you can find me having fun, yet challenging discussions with our youth about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and helping to lead the women of Genesis 12 to a closer relationship with the Lord.

As for Scholastics: I have studied at University of Maryland Baltimore County, earning a B.S. in Biology; I also studied at University of Baltimore School of Law, earning a Juris Doctorate, which, has allowed me to enjoy my vocation of practicing law.

But more important than any of my accomplishments in life is my love for prayer!  It is in that space of prayer with God, typically in the very wee hours of the morning when the rest of the world is quiet and still, that I steal away to be alone with Him, receiving instructions and praying for others.

And to top everything off, I am blessed to enjoy the gift of marriage and friendship with my life and ministry partner, Pastor D. Matthew Norris. Together we are raising five wonderful children and reside in Northern Virginia.
